Bring your story to the Circle
- Choose your document. Use Word (.docx) to keep its formatting, or a text (.txt) or Markdown (.md) file. Maximum 5 MB.
- Review the preview. Choose “Use this text” to bring it into your backstory.
- Finish your character details. Add your name and a short introduction. A portrait and titles are optional.
- Send it to the Keeper. Choose Preview, tick the sharing permission, then Submit for approval. Choose Save draft if you are not ready.
Nothing is saved just by choosing a file. Your story stays private until the Keeper approves it.
On your phone, choose a file from Files or Downloads. You can also type or paste your story below.
Google Docs, Pages & formatting help
In Google Docs or Pages, use the document’s export or download option to save a Word (.docx) copy. Then choose that file here.
Word imports preserve supported fonts, sizes, colours, emphasis, headings, lists and alignment. Fonts unavailable on a reader’s device use a substitute. Page layouts, pictures and complex numbering may differ; check the preview.
Text and Markdown stories support *italics*, **bold**, paragraph breaks, and ## chapter headings. Word files retain their supported document styling. To revise a formatted story, edit your original Word document and import it again.

Your existing story will stay untouched until you choose “Use this text”. Nothing is saved or submitted yet.
Formatted stories keep their styling when saved and approved. To change a formatted story, edit your original Word document and import it again. The text below is read-only while formatting is retained.
